I have used technology prior to this mostly for educational and recreational purposes. I use a computer for communication with friends and family often, and keep in contact with people who do not live near me. I also used the computer and other technology for research purposes and to compose papers and reports.

In this Education technology class I hope to learn techniques in which technology can be utilized in a classroom and how to improve a lesson with technology. I would like to learn the different possibilities technology can be used in a classroom and how students can apply technology to the lesson. I also hope to learn how to use new programs on a computer that will make lessons and classroom activities more efficient and easy.

According to the Learning Styles Questionairre, I score a 9 on active learning, a 3 on intuitive, 11 on visual, and a 5 on sequential learning. I think with active learning I can do best with small groups to learn with, and practice techniques. For intuitive learning, I find connection of ideas and how things work together easier to understand. I also seem to be a very visual person, which comes from painting and drawing, so I understand graphs and illustrations much better than large blocks of text.
